A nugget in the heart of Thamel The Moonlight Hotel was a superb discovery. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and very well maintained, perfect for resting after a busy day in the bustle of Thamel. Special mention to the rooftop, a real favorite: the view of the Himalayas on a clear day is breathtaking, especially at sunrise. The welcome is very warm, with attentive staff, always ready to help or advise. We really feel welcome. And the cuisine... delicious! Tasty and well presented local dishes, with international options to vary. Excellent value for money for a smooth stay in Kathmandu. I'll be right back.

The room are really clean and comfortable. The rooftop view was a nice add on. The breakfast had a large variety to choose from. The location was really convenient and close to everything. The staff was really friendly and helpful in every way. A real plus was the free one way airport transfer.

Home away from home Hotel Moonlight is my home away from home when I come to Kathmandu. The hotel is a peaceful oasis away from the noise and bustle of Thamel. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. They are either nice and warm, or nice and cool depending on the season you visit. I have been in winter and summer.
